Radiation Therapist in Saint Louis, MO

Providing advanced radiation therapy treatments, this role focuses on delivering compassionate care while adhering to precise treatment plans within a reputable healthcare setting. The position involves working day shifts, five days a week, administering various radiation modalities using state-of-the-art equipment including Versa HD, Accuray Radixact, Cyberknife, Flexitron HDR, and Siemens CT. Familiarity with Mosaiq and Epic EMRs is essential.Responsibilities:Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists with accuracy and empathy.Perform simulations, brachytherapy procedures, and daily imaging including kv/kv, cone beam, and MV imaging.Verify patient identification, prescriptions, and treatment accuracy prior to therapy delivery.Monitor and document patient condition and radiation-related side effects, ensuring patients' comfort and dignity.Assist in treatment simulation procedures and collaborate with oncologists and multidisciplinary teams.Conduct morning quality assurance and participate in weekly chart reviews and mandatory trainings.Utilize gating software and adhere to SABR and SRS imaging policies diligently.Maintain accurate patient records, scheduling, and communication within the department.Qualifications:Graduate of an approved radiation therapy program.Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, especially with Elekta or Accuray equipment.Certification by ARRT and BLS certification from AHA required.Strong attention to detail, ability to adapt, and excellent interpersonal skills.Schedule:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (36 hours weekly)Weekend hours as required by facilityNo call requirementsContract Length: 13 weeksLocation Overview: Situated in St. Louis, MO, this opportunity offers access to a vibrant city famed for its cultural attractions including the iconic Gateway Arch, dynamic entertainment districts, and renowned food scene.
