Morris, PASupervisorCorporate ManagementStatusFull Time/Exempt (Administrative) PurposeThe Fleet Manager oversees maintenance operations, technicians, and inventory to minimize machine downtime and ensure efficient repairs. Key responsibilities include leading repair teams, managing parts inventory, budgeting, and ensuring customer service. ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations of company fleet including heavy-duty trucks, CDL vehicles, trailers, and specialized oilfield equipmentTrack fleet utilization, availability, and performance metricsDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programsCoordinate repairs with internal shop personnel and external vendorsEnsure timely servicing to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifeEnsure compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and state regulationsMaintain accurate records for inspections, registrations, and certificationsSupport company safety initiatives and enforce fleet safety standardsMonitor and control fuel usage, maintenance costs, and overall fleet expensesIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or performanceManage relationships with parts suppliers, repair vendors, and leasing companiesOversee inventory of parts, tools, and consumablesUtilize fleet management software and telematics systemsGenerate reports on fleet efficiency, maintenance schedules, and compliance statusWork closely with shop supervisors, mechanics, and field operations teamsProvide leadership and direction to fleet-related personnelAll other duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementExperienceMinimum 5+ years of fleet management experience (oil & gas or heavy equipment preferred) Strong knowledge of CDL fleet operations, DOT regulations, and compliance requirements Experience managing maintenance programs for heavy-duty diesel equipmentSkills & AbilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphereAbility to proficiently utilize the programs with the Microsoft Office Suite Ability to be a highly motivated, self-starterAbility to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situationsAbility to assess and quickly solve problems Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess strong communication skillsPossess sound mechanical knowledgePossess strong negotiation and purchasing skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is requiredPPE includes but is not limited to: hard hat, task specific safety glasses, life vest, respirators, task specific hearing protection, task specific safety shoes (steel toe or metatarsal), and /or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and may change based on the location in which the work is being completedAbility to walk, step, climb, and otherwise move from one location on the job site to anotherDepending on equipment in use, the chosen candidate must be able to physically get into and get out of equipment through the use of vertical mounted ladders up to and including 10’ or more in heightAbility to visually see worksite environment and observe equipment operations (either naturally or with corrective lenses)Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and sit for long periods of timeAbility to complete repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of workAbility to climb vertical ladders.
