Phlebotomist

Job Title: PhlebotomistJob DescriptionExhibit proficiency in all of the following: blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, pediatric blood collections, and difficult draws in medical office buildings. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety, and effectively communicate their importance to other employees. Provide orientation and training for patient service technicians.Responsibilities+ Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques on patients of all age groups.+ Conduct pediatric blood collections and manage difficult draws in medical office settings.+ Ensure compliance and safety standards are met and effectively communicated to team members.Essential Skills+ Proficiency in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and neonatal techniques.+ Experience as a Lab Assistant and holding a CPT I license.+ Knowledge of specimen processing and familiarity with lab systems such as Cerner.+ Strong customer service skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ High School Diploma.+ Must be computer savvy.+ Available for on-call schedule, typically averaging 32 hours per week, with a range of 24 to 40 hours.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in outpatient clinics located in Coachella Valley, covering Palm Desert, Palm Springs, and Indio, CA. The standard working hours are Monday through Saturday, with varying start and end times depending on the location. The role requires availability for an on-call schedule. Initial interviews and training will be conducted onsite in Riverside for up to two weeks, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Following training, candidates will transition back to Coachella.
