Check us out on YouTubeMake an Impact: Fabricate and assemble parts that power major industriesStrong Teamwork: Be part of a crew that has your back — where hard work, humor, and heart matterGrowth Opportunities: Advance your welding, fitting, and fabrication skills under seasoned mentorsCulture of GRIT: Guts, Resilience, Integrity, and Teamwork are at the heart of everything we do!What You’ll DoLay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components prior to weldingAccurately align, clamp, and tack components to meet blueprint and tolerance requirementsVerify dimensions, squareness, and fit-up using measuring tools (tape, square, level, etc.)Perform minor rework (grinding, torching, adjusting) to ensure proper fit-up before final weldWork closely with welders and supervisors to ensure assemblies meet quality and design specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematicsFabricate and assemble structural and machine componentsPerform SMAW (stick), FCAW (flux core), and GTAW (TIG) welding processesAdjust and set welding equipment properlyProduce quality welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positionsOperate cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment like a proMaintain a clean, safe, and organized workspaceEngage in cross-training and continuous development because staying sharp is part of the gigWhat We’re Looking For Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent3+ years of experience in industrial welding and structural fitting within a manufacturing environment preferredHands-on experience performing layout, fit-up, and assembly of structural steel components prior to weldingProficiency in welding processes such as SMAW (stick), FCAW (flux core), and GTAW (TIG)Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics and translate them into accurate fit-up and assemblyStrong understanding of tolerances, alignment, and structural assembly sequencingExperience working with large weldments, heavy plate, and fabricated assemblies Key Skills & Attributes Fitting-first mindset – able to independently lay out, align, clamp, and tack components to spec before weldingStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to verify dimensions using measuring tools (tape, square, level, etc.)Ability to identify and correct fit-up issues through grinding, torching, or adjustment prior to final weldDetail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and safetyReliable, accountable, and consistent in attendance and performanceStrong teamwork and communication skills in a production environmentAligned with ACECO’s core values: Work Hard, Have Fun, and Do the Right ThingRequirementsAuthorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorshipAbility to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)Eligibility to access information or technology governed by U.S. export control laws (including 10 C.F.R.
