DescriptionExhibit Fabricator and WoodworkerWage: DOEShift: Full time. If so, we'd love to have you on our team!Responsibilities:Apply fabrication and shop skills to construct exhibits.Interpret design drawings and translate them into finished products.Operate standard woodworking equipment, including table saws, band saws, drill presses, jointers, and CNC machines.Maintain Thanksgiving Point (TGP) practices and quality standards.Build exhibits using a variety of materials, including wood, plastics, and laminates.Follow all safety protocols and procedures.Participate in ongoing training and hands-on skill development.Contribute to exhibit development and project work.Promote a culture of curiosity and discovery by creating safe, inclusive, and engaging experiences through high-quality craftsmanship and human-centered, universal design.Collaborate effectively with other departments.ExemplifyThanksgiving Point's mission, values, and policies.Perform other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.Requirements:Knowledge of and experience with exhibit fabrication best practices, shop equipment, materials, engineering concepts, and safety standards.Strong skills in structural carpentry, cabinetry, and woodworking.Proficiency with power tools such as table saws, band saws, sanders, and routers.Excellent time management, communication, and organizational abilities.High attention to detail.Willingness to learn; dependable, respectful, flexible, and team-oriented.Commitment to following all safety protocols.Ability to pass a background check.Must be at least 21 years old.EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
