Production Line Operator

This position is responsible for operating bag machines and associated equipment to safely produce high-quality bags, production schedule, set-up instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications, etc.Position will include competitive salary, bonus opportunities, full benefits package, and 401k.Job Responsibilities:Understand and follow all safety procedures/policiesRead and verify line orders/dockets (BOMs)Understand job requirements by the specifications listed on the product BOMsPerform quality checks of material being produced every 30 minutes and complete related documentationPrepare packaging materials for upcoming jobsComplete daily production paperworkAssist with product change overMaintain a clean and safe work areaFollow the chain of command to communicate all concerns (safety, quality, production and HR issues) immediately and effectively.Participate in department activities to continually improve safety, product quality, cost, and delivery.Submit ideas for continuous improvement for safety, product quality, work area improvements, cost, and delivery.Other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Punctuality and dependabilityWork overtime as requiredSatisfactorily complete training courses as determined by managementAbility to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodationEducation and Experience Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentPhysical Requirements:Lifting/Carrying (minimum of 50 lbs.)Standing/Walking for long periods (up to 12 hours)Benefits:Vacation starting day oneMedical/Prescription Drug Card/Dental/Vision Insurance401(k) plan with 4% company matchProfit Sharing BonusGreat work environmentWe are a family owned, rapidly growing manufacturer, producing plastic bags, films, and sheeting
