We believe consistenc y, structure, and relationships are essential to healing—and we support staff doing this important work.ResponsibilitiesProvide Direct Care & SupportEnsure the safety, supervision, and well-being of students at all timesBuild positive, professional relationships while maintaining appropriate boundariesTeach and reinforce healthy behaviors, hygiene, and life skillsSupport a trauma-informed treatment approach (ACORN model)Maintain Structure & RoutineSupervise students with constant visual and auditory awarenessFacilitate daily schedules, activities, and transitionsConduct routine room checks and safety monitoringTransport students to appointments and activities as neededBehavioral SupportRespond to behaviors using CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) techniquesUse de-escalation strategies and, when necessary, approved physical interventionsPromote positive behavior, self-regulation, and social developmentEngage & MentorLead and participate in recreational and skill-building activitiesServe as a role model for appropriate social interactionsSupport students in family connections and communicationDocumentation & CommunicationComplete shift notes, reports, and required documentation accurately and on timeCommunicate incidents, concerns, and updates to supervisorsHealth & SafetyMaintain a clean, safe, and organized environmentSupport students with daily living tasks and housekeepingRespond appropriately to illness, injury, or emergenciesQualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent requiredValid driver’s license (Class C or D) required0–3 years of related experience (human services, internships, or volunteer work accepted)
