Overnight Surgical Specialty Provider

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides overnight inpatient care for Surgical Specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and related consults, focusing on acute floor-based patient management without ICU duties.Perform clinical assessments, develop care plans, respond to urgent changes, and manage postoperative patients and consults.Conduct procedures such as wound care, drain management, and minor bedside interventions (credentialed as applicable).Coordinate communication with surgical teams, nursing, and interdisciplinary staff; ensure thorough documentation in EMR.Cover orthopedic, neurosurgery, and spine patients during overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.Qualifications include NP or PA certification, active licensure, BLS/ACLS, and preferred inpatient/surgical experience.Requires strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.This role emphasizes autonomous overnight inpatient care, acts as a key resource for nursing and surgical teams, and offers opportunities to develop expertise in surgical cross-coverage and acute care.
