Press Operator (2nd Shift)This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining multiple press machines in a print shop environment while ensuring high-quality printed products. You will receive training on specific equipment and processes, but you should bring a strong foundation in printing or press operation, including experience with cold foil or UV printing and product inspection.ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor press machinery to meet production and quality standards.Operate and maintain multiple press machines, including performing routine checks before, during, and after runs.Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and identify any defects or issues.Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on press equipment as needed to minimize downtime.Work collaboratively in a group setting, communicating effectively with other team members on the production floor.Record production data accurately and consistently, including run times, quantities, and any issues encountered.Follow established safety procedures and operational guidelines while working on the production floor.Participate in training on day shift for a short period before transitioning to the regular 2nd shift schedule.Essential Skills3–5 years of press operation experience in a printing or similar production environment.Hands-on experience with cold foil printing or UV printing.Demonstrated experience inspecting finished printed products for quality.Ability to set up, operate, and monitor press machinery independently.Basic mechanical aptitude for performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press equipment.Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift (Monday–Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.) and train on day shift for a few weeks.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with KBA Rapida 106 presses is strongly encouraged and considered a plus.Previous experience in a print shop or similar production floor environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent quality.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and production documentation.Reliability and strong work ethic with a history of solid tenure on the production floor.Why Work Here?You will join a production team that values long-term tenure, growth, and skill development. The role follows a 2nd shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with initial training conducted on a day shift schedule for a few weeks. You will work on a production floor in a collaborative team setting, following safety procedures and standard production practices in a typical industrial print shop.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Chicopee, MA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
