With a unique blend of cultural insight and professional expertise, we pride ourselves on creating an environment that fosters success for both employers and candidates.Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate with 5 + years of experience in civil/commercial litigation and/or construction law to join a well-established and growing Construction Department at a respected law firm.This is an excellent opportunity for an associate who is eager to take ownership of matters, gain meaningful courtroom experience, and grow within a sophisticated construction litigation practice.OverviewAs a Construction Litigation Associate, you will play a key role in providing legal guidance and support on complex construction-related disputes. Working closely with partners and senior attorneys, you will handle matters involving construction defects, contract disputes, and other construction-related litigation while contributing to strategic case development and client service.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of construction litigation matters from inception through resolution under partner supervisionConduct legal research and analysis on construction, commercial, and civil litigation issuesDraft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and memoranda of lawTake and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expertsAppear in court for hearings, status conferences, and motion argumentsAssist with trial preparation and participate in trials, arbitrations, and mediations as neededDraft and review construction-related contracts, agreements, and legal documentsCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal legal teamsStay current on developments in construction law and related areasQualifications J.D. from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Florida Bar (federal court admission preferred)5+ years of civil/commercial litigation and/or construction litigation experienceConstruction law experience, particularly in construction defect and construction-related disputes, strongly preferredExcellent academic credentialsCourtroom and deposition experience requiredStrong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentSelf-starter with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
