This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated, well-established Endoscopy team in a dynamic environment. This role is critical in delivering comprehensive digestive health services, including advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP, EGD, colonoscopy, and other specialized interventions. You'll work alongside a highly accomplished team in a state-of-the-art facility, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while maintaining professional growth. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting. Required Skills: Active MI medical license Certification in Gastroenterology Proven experience with ERCP procedures Proficiency in performing EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, PEG/PEG-J tube placement Ability to independently manage all charting and documentation Familiarity with Cerner, gGastro, Athena systems Excellent bedside manner and communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Capsule endoscopy and Hydrogen breath testing Expertise in ERCP/EUS procedures Additional procedural certifications or advanced endoscopy training Familiarity with hospital workflows and multidisciplinary team collaboration Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO with board certification in Gastroenterology Minimum of 3 years of post-training clinical experience Prior locum or emergency coverage experience highly desirable Other Requirements: Immediate credentialing and billing enrollment upon application approval Availability for full block coverage from March 25, 2026, with no partial dates accepted Responsibility for all charting and work completion during shifts without an assistant Must complete all onboarding prerequisites, including background checks and drug screening Ability to work independently and manage procedures efficiently No scribe support; provider will review pathology, communicate results, and coordinate follow-up This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a reputable healthcare team while working flexible hours.
