Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer to manage a team of developers and oversee the technical aspects of our projects. The Lead Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining software applications that meet business requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to identify project goals, define timelines, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery. Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and support in all technical aspects of project development. Project Management: Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to identify project goals, define timelines, and allocate resources. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. Code Review and Quality Assurance: Review code to ensure it meets quality standards. Conduct regular quality assurance testing to identify and address issues proactively. Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the development team. Systems Analysis and Development: Coordinate systems analysis and applications development activities through direct and indirect staff. Direct development teams in scheduling, technical direction, future planning, and standard development practices. Communication: Effectively communicate with senior-level management, project managers, and other stakeholders. Provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions. Mentorship and Training: Mentor and train junior developers to enhance their skills and contribute to their professional growth. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered. Experience: A minimum of 7 years of IT and business work experience, including a proven track record of leading developers in systems analysis and/or programming functions. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor senior web developers and/or technical staff. Works effectively under general direction from senior-level management. Reporting: Frequently reports to a Director, Systems and Programming, Departmental IT Executive, or Operating Unit IT Executive. Complexity: Lead Web Developer in systems analysis and programming functions, with a focus on meeting project objectives in a timely manner.
