Commercial Insights / Analytics ManagerThe Commercial Insights / Analytics Manager is a senior, business-facing role responsible for converting complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic, commercial, and operational decisions. This role partners closely with executive leadership, commercial teams, finance, and operations to shape priorities, optimize pricing and margins, evaluate performance, and enable KPI-driven management. The role goes beyond reporting—acting as a thought partner to leadership by framing the right questions, synthesizing insights across data sources, and influencing decisions with clear business narratives.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a trusted advisor to commercial and executive leaders by translating data into strategic insights and recommendationsSupport annual planning, forecasting, and long-range strategy through customer, market, pricing, and profitability analysisIdentify growth, margin, and productivity opportunities through structured analysis and scenario modelingOwn the design, tracking, and interpretation of core commercial KPIs (e.g., revenue, margin, pricing, mix, customer profitability, pipeline, churn)Lead regular performance reviews (monthly/quarterly) and provide insightful narratives on results, risks, and opportunitiesDrive clarity and alignment on performance drivers, trade-offs, and root causesPartner with pricing, finance, and commercial teams to evaluate pricing strategies, discounting, and margin leakageAnalyze customer, product, and channel profitability to inform segmentation, investment decisions, and deal economicsSupport cases for commercial initiatives, pricing changes, and strategic investmentsGuide the development of dashboards and reporting that are insight-led, decision-oriented, and executive-readyEnsure analytical outputs are focused on "so what?", not just metricsTranslate advanced analytics or data science outputs into practical business implicationsCollaborate closely with Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Data teamsInfluence priorities without direct authority through data-driven storytelling and structured recommendationsAct as a bridge between technical analytics teams and business leadershipRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering, or a related analytical field7–10+ years of progressive experience in commercial analytics, business intelligence, strategy, finance, or a related function, with significant business-facing responsibilityExposure to CRM, ERP, and commercial systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or similar)Proven experience translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence senior leadership decisionsStrong understanding of commercial performance drivers, including revenue, margin, pricing, mix, customer profitability, and sales pipeline dynamicsHands-on experience supporting strategic planning, forecasting, and performance management processesDemonstrated experience with pricing, discounting, margin analysis, and profitability analytics at customer, product, and/or channel levelAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous business questions and develop data-driven recommendationsExcellent executive-level communication skills, including the ability to craft clear narratives, recommendations, and implications from analysisStrong stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional partners without direct authorityExperience working with dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, or equivalent)High level of business acumen with a practical, outcomes-oriented mindsetPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a quantitative disciplineExperience in a global, matrixed, or multi-region commercial organizationBackground in pricing strategy, revenue management, or advanced commercial financeFamiliarity with advanced analytics techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, segmentation, scenario modeling), with the ability to translate outputs into business actionsPrior experience leading or influencing analytics or insights teams (directly or indirectly)Experience partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Operations leadersStrong change-management skills and experience driving adoption of KPI-driven management and standardized performance reviewsIndustry experience in B2B, manufacturing, life sciences, technology, or another complex commercial environment
