Laboratory Technician – Peptide Testing (cGMP)

NxtGen is a growing cGMP analytical testing laboratory focused on peptide and protein characterization. We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to support day-to-day laboratory operations with an initial focus on synthetic peptide testing.This is an excellent opportunity to join a startup environment and contribute to building a high-quality, client-focused analytical lab.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, label, track and manage incoming peptide samples, maintain accurate sample records and chain of custodyCreate and manage batch records for testing activitiesPerform routine sample preparation (weighing, dilution, filtration)Prepare buffers, mobile phases, and reagents per SOPsSupport analytical instruments with basic setup and maintenance tasksConduct endotoxin testing (LAL assays) and sterility testing, and perform other routine tests or bioassaysMaintain accurate laboratory documentation in compliance with GDP and ALCOA+Keep laboratory areas clean, organized, and audit-readyFollow all safety and cGMP proceduresQualificationsAssociate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field0–2 years of laboratory experience preferredBasic lab skills (pipetting, weighing, solution preparation)Strong attention to detail and ability to follow proceduresWhy Join NxtGenOpportunity to work in a peptide-focused analytical labExposure to cGMP laboratory operationsCollaborative and fast-paced startup environmentWorking ConditionsEnvironment: Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals, biological materials, and laboratory equipment.Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.Location: North Charleston, SC.PPE: Required use of personal protective equipment (lab coat, gloves, safety glasses).Equal Employment OpportunityNxtGen is a Disabled and Veteran Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
