Utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques to restore physical and/or sensory integrative function. Teach ADLs, therapeutic tasks, and devise orthotic and assistive devices for patient rehabilitation.Duties (not all inclusive)Perform all Occupational Therapy services within the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners and the American Occupational Therapy AssociationFollows treatment plans that are developed by the Occupational Therapist.Teach patients how to effectively perform activities of daily living including the use of adaptive equipment and techniques and energy conservation techniques to improve their level of independence.QualificationsLicensed by the State of Texas as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) (required)AHA BLS (CPR) certified (required)
