Simulation Developer
Role: Simulation Developer supporting the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab's transition to digital wargaming.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain simulation models and environments using various programming languages and tools.Integrate models into larger system architectures and support interoperability testing and model orchestration efforts.Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts to improve model fidelity and accuracy.Implement new features, conduct testing and validation, and troubleshoot simulation issues.Lead planning, coordination, and documentation activities, including data collection and stakeholder engagement.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.At least 7 years of software development experience in simulation or game environments, or 10 years without a degree.Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or Java.Experience with simulation platforms like AFSIM, NGTS, OneSAF, Unity, Unreal, Simio, or Arena.Knowledge of version control and collaborative development workflows.Preferred SkillsUnderstanding of military modeling and simulation principles, wargaming, and operational processes.Familiarity with mission engineering, campaign analysis, and military systems.Knowledge of 3D graphics, physics engines, and SQL.Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Additional Requirements: Must hold a current TS/SCI security clearance, be able to perform manual labor if needed, and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
