Position InformationJob Title: Linux IT Helpdesk Contract Period: 6 Months + Pay rate:$32-$33/hr.Working Location: San Jose CA 95134Work Hours: 08:00am ~ 17:00pm (subject to changed)Person in needed: 1 JD DetailsResponsibilities:Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.Rack and stacking Server, lifting up to 50lb weight.Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.Install and configure systems which support infrastructure and/or R&D activities.Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.Conducting daily backup operations.Managing technical documentation.Operations and SupportAsset Management, includes 4 physical asset audits per yearNeed to track inventory any timeRequirements/Qualifications:2+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.Forman deployment experienceAnsible experienceRHEL, CENTOS, ROCKY, UBUNTU, and other Linux base OS installation, management, and supportAsset Management experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Good interpersonal skills.Attention to detail.Good problem-solving skills.
