Telematics Test Engineer - (TCU)

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Connected Vehicle Test Engineer to validate telematics systems and ensure seamless vehicle connectivity. The role involves end-to-end testing of telematics control units (TCUs), vehicle communication systems, and integration with backend platforms and mobile applications.Key Responsibilities:Test and validate Telematics Control Units (TCU) and connected vehicle featuresVerify functionalities such as GPS, eCall/bCall, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular communication (2G/3G/4G/5G)Perform end-to-end testing across vehicle systems, backend servers, and mobile applicationsExecute and validate Over-the-Air (OTA) software update test casesConduct regression, sanity, and smoke testing to ensure system stabilityAnalyze logs using tools such as CAN loggers, network analyzers, and packet capture toolsWork with automotive and communication protocols including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, MQTT, and HTTP/HTTPSIdentify, document, and track defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)Collaborate closely with developers, system engineers, and validation teams for issue resolutionPerform field testing and vehicle-level validation when requiredRequired Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related fieldStrong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)Experience in telematics, connected vehicles, or embedded systems testingKnowledge of wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular networks)Hands-on experience with debugging and log analysis toolsFamiliarity with OTA updates and backend integration testingExperience with defect tracking and test management toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
