Cybersecurity Engineer
Las Vegas, NV / Full-time / On-sitePosition SummaryGlobal C2 Integration Technologies is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Engineer who implements, maintains, and documents security controls for mission systems operating in a Secure Computing Environment (SCE). This role ensures compliance with government cybersecurity requirements, NIST SP 800-series standards, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to support Authority to Operate (ATO).The position supports secure configuration of Windows, Linux, and virtualized systems within a defense-in-depth architecture and works closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure security is integrated across the system lifecycle. This position is contingent upon contract award.ResponsibilitiesImplement RMF for mission systems and support authorization activitiesIdentify, assess, and track system security risksMaintain accreditation documentation, including SSPs and POA&MsCoordinate with Authorizing Officials (AO), ISSMs, and ISSOsImplement and maintain NIST SP 800-53 security controls and overlaysSupport control implementation across operating systems, applications, and networksAssist with assessments, remediation, and control traceabilitySupport design, configuration, and maintenance of secure computing environmentsEnsure system architecture meets cybersecurity requirementsIntegrate security controls into system design and deploymentDevelop and maintain System Security Plans and supporting artifactsDocument control implementations, assessments, and configuration recordsHarden and secure Windows and Linux systemsPerform patching, vulnerability remediation, and baseline enforcementConfigure logging, auditing, and monitoringConduct vulnerability scanning and track remediation effortsMonitor logs and alerts for security eventsSupport incident response activitiesCollaborate with system, network, and test engineers and configuration management teamsProvide cybersecurity input to system design and architectureMaintain documentation to support audits and system lifecycle complianceSupport security assessments and reviewsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of cybersecurity experience in enterprise or mission environmentsKnowledge of NIST SP 800-series and RMFExperience securing Windows and/or Linux systemsExperience with vulnerability management and monitoringQualificationsExperience supporting RMF-authorized government systemsExperience with NIST SP 800-53 control implementation and assessmentExperience developing and maintaining SSPsExperience in classified or secure environmentsRelevant certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM, CISA)PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
