About the Role Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel nursing contract in Wichita Falls, Texas. This night shift (4x12) PCU/Med?Surg position is ideal for experienced Telemetry RNs and Med?Surg RNs who are comfortable floating between units and providing high-quality adult and geriatric care. Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910 Location: Wichita Falls, TX (76301) — travel nursing job in Texas / Wichita Falls healthcare Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026) Shift: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Setting: PCU Float / Resource RN (primarily Med?Surg and Telemetry support) Orientation: 36 hours Weekend Coverage: Required as needed (may include most weekends) Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, Med?Surg, or Telemetry RN experience (progressive care experience preferred) Travel nursing experience strongly preferred Epic charting experience strongly preferred Current RN license (active and in-hand before start) Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Ability and willingness to float between Med?Surg and PCU/Telemetry units Previous charge or leadership experience preferred Ability to work weekends and participate in shift-based scheduling Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU and Med?Surg/Telemetry units Float between units as needed to support patient care and staffing needs Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and manage dysrhythmias Administer medications and manage cardiac/vasoactive drips per protocols Perform wound care and manage surgical drains, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care Assist with feeding tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, and post?hemodialysis management Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy Accurate and timely documentation in Epic electronic health record (EHR) Participate in rapid response/code teams and maintain isolation precautions and PPE standards Why Apply Competitive weekly pay for travel nurses Supportive orientation and travel nurse onboarding Opportunity to strengthen Telemetry and PCU nursing skills in a busy North Texas setting Apply now: Join our healthcare team as a PCU RN travel nurse in Wichita Falls, TX.
