Engineer ILocation: McDonough, GA (Onsite)Reports to/Team Dynamic:Join an engineering team supporting plant operations through the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of industrial systems. In this role, you'll partner with experienced engineers, plant personnel, contractors, and vendors to develop engineering solutions, support capital projects, and ensure safe, efficient project execution across a variety of plant systems.Rate: $35 per hourAbout the RoleBrooksource is seeking an Engineer I to support engineering and plant operations for a large industrial facility in McDonough, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience supporting capital projects, plant modifications, and engineering initiatives. In this role, you'll assist with engineering design, construction planning, drawing updates, cost estimating, and contractor coordination while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.What You'll DoSupport engineering design and construction activities for industrial facility projects.Develop engineering design options, construction specifications, and project documentation.Assist with preparing material estimates and engineering cost information.Perform field walkdowns and markups of mechanical drawings to support project execution.Create and revise mechanical P&IDs and related engineering drawings using CAD software.Coordinate with contractors, plant personnel, and engineering teams to support project delivery and quality reviews.Promote a strong safety culture while supporting construction, maintenance, and day-to-day plant operations.What You BringBachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.0–5 years of engineering experience, preferably within power generation, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.Experience performing field walkdowns and marking up mechanical drawings.CAD experience creating or modifying mechanical drawings, including P&IDs.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, vendors, and operations personnel.Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative engineering environment.Must be local to the McDonough area or willing to relocate at your own expense.Why Join Us?At Brooksource, we invest in our consultants by providing opportunities to build meaningful careers while working on impactful projects.
