Job Title: Facilities EngineerCompany: AISIN North CarolinaDepartment: FacilitiesLocation: Durham, NCPosition SummaryThe Facilities Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting issues and delivering electrical and mechanical solutions pertaining to facilities and building maintenance. They will plan and implement improvements to the facility while ensuring compliance with existing codes and regulations. Additionally, they will support production by developing and managing predictive and preventative maintenance schedules for designated systems or equipment. They will instruct vendors and team members while consistently demonstrating appropriate safety protocols. They will also monitors and take responsibility for all documentation and expenses associated with repair records and utility costs.Position ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and/or electrical control issues in circuits containing transformers, disconnects, over current protection devices and general control components.Review and oversee plant facilities documents and records as it relates to electrical issues, updates and mechanical components.Provide direct supervision to and train facility technicians on proper safety proceduresOversee long-term maintenance planning and Facilities automation activitiesManage and plan facility upgrade projects and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and ANC standardsCollaborate with contractors/subcontractors to ensure planned/predictive maintenance objectives and schedules are observedCoordinate emergency and non-emergency tasks and Facilities staff and plant management as neededSupport Facilities activities and technical aspect as requiredRequired Skills and AbilitiesEssential Skills and Experience:5+ years of experience working within Facilities EngineeringStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to efficiently troubleshoot, repair and modify PLC based control systems. Experience troubleshooting pneumatic valves, actuators, sensors, electric motors and other typical automation equipmentExperience working with electrical distribution and control systems up to 480 VAC, 3PHAbility to read and interpret ladder diagramsFamiliarity with NFPA 70E safe electrical work practicesEducation/Training/Certifications* Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR an Associate's Degree and 2 years of relevant experienceTravel Requirements* Approximately 0 %* Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.Work Environment RequirementsWith reasonable accommodation:Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone, and other office equipment.Must perform job duties onsite, when necessary, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.Must be able to operate as an effective team member.Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.Attendance/Work Hour Requirements* Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.* Must be willing and available to work weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
