We are a new and growing Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine practice in Durham, NC, intentionally built around thoughtful, patient-centered care—not volume targets, RVUs, or corporate checklists.We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who wants to practice medicine with time to think, space to care, and support to grow. This is a part-time hybrid role combining in-person pulmonary visits with a mix of in-person and virtual sleep medicine care. As the practice expands, there is a clear opportunity to increase hours and take on broader clinical, administrative, and leadership responsibilities.You'll receive mentorship from an experienced physician while practicing with a high degree of independence and trust, in a setting that values clinical judgment, communication, and long-term professional growth.ResponsibilitiesSee patients independently with physician backup readily availableNew consultationsFollow-up visitsChronic pulmonary disease managementSleep medicine and CPAP-related carePractice medicine that prioritizes listening, education, and clinical reasoningCollaborate closely 1:1 with the physician and communicate regularly with a virtual support teamContribute to the development and refinement of clinical workflows as the practice growsUse dictation or AI-assisted documentation tools to complete charts same day and finish work at workWho This Role Is Ideal ForThis role is well suited for clinicians at different stages of their careers who share a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.Early-career clinicians (with at least one year of experience in a pulmonary or sleep clinic) who want to deepen their skills in pulmonary and sleep medicine while gaining exposure to the administrative, operational, and leadership aspects of building a specialty practice.
