Summary As a Prep Cook, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, responsible for food preparation and ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your core skills in cooking, food handling, and meal preparation to assist in creating delicious dishes. Your experience in the food industry and knife skills will be vital in maintaining efficiency and quality. Additionally, your knowledge of dietary requirements and menu planning will enhance our offerings, making you a valuable asset in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food is handled and stored safely to maintain quality and hygiene standards. Utilize knife skills to efficiently chop, slice, and prepare ingredients for meal preparation. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations. Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes based on seasonal ingredients. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary environment Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling and safety protocols Familiarity with meal preparation and food service operations Experience in catering and serving, with a focus on quality and presentation Preferred experience in dietary departments and menu planning Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid training Referral program Work Location: In person
