Maintenance Technician (Sun-Thurs)
Brief DescriptionPiper Shores is Maine’s premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Care for our residents with a person-centered approach to care. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our talented Facilities team to ensure the upkeep and repair of all aspects of our physical plant. We have two beautiful campuses in Scarborough – our Oceanside campus, and The Meadows (slated to open in late June). This role is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus, paid out quarterly.Full-time, Sunday - Thursday, 1st shift (7:30-4p) Responsibilities: Provides service and care to residents in their homes as well as around the broader community. Performs general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs. Assists with painting and refurbishing projects Performs routine preventive maintenance Assists with snow removal efforts during winter months.Qualifications: Technical training in area of specialty required Warm and friendly demeanor with a positive approach to interacting with Seniors and co-workers. At least one year of professional experience within a trade profession. Certifications and license in specialty areas achieved; must be maintained Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
