Industrial Painter

Acer Inc in Rushford, MN is looking for a skilled Industrial painter to prep and paint machinery in a clean production environment. Acer is a leading OEM manufacturer of automated lumber handling equipment for the wood truss industry. Job duties include: -Wash and prepare small parts and machinery for painting by hand washing and power washing. -Deburr and remove any remaining weld spatter before painting. -Mask any areas that don’t receive paint. -Keep a clean and safe working environment. -Keep track of paint and painting supplies, inform supervisor when items are getting low so more can be ordered. -Lift 30lbs daily and up to 50lbs on occasion. -Will be asked to help in other areas when needed, e.g. assembling machinery, shipping area, sawing, etc. Preferred Qualifications: -Minimum of two years experience. -Experience with oil based industrial paints, primers, and thinners. -Knowledge of HVLP and air-assisted airless paint systems. -Knowledge of respirator use. -Must be able to multitask and prioritize. -Must be self-motivated and take pride in their work, willing to continuously improve their abilities and machinery being painted. -Requires the ability to work both alone or cooperatively and productively with others. -Must be able to climb a ladder and crawl inside machinery. Education or Experience: -Forklift experience preferred. This position is Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-4:30pm. Overtime on occasion.
