Specialty: Echocardiography (Echo) Tech
Location: Forks, Washington
Pay: By The Week, after 40,, Depending on experience
Shift Time: Two day shifts per week week (no call). Willing to adjust schedule based on sonographers needs.
Weekly Hours: 40
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited echocardiography program.
Certification: Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or (CCI-RCS) equivalent.
Licensure: State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice.
Experience: Previous experience as an Echo Tech is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment and relevant software. Familiarity with various echocardiography modalities and contrast administration.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication Skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality echocardiographic images and maintain accurate records.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and positioning patients as necessary, and assisting with physically demanding tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Echocardiography Procedures: Perform a variety of echocardiagraphy studies, including transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal (TEE).
Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for echocardiography procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the examination.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, including ultrasound machines, transducers, and imaging software, ensuring proper functioning and performing routine quality control checks.
Image Acquisition: Capture high-quality echocardiographic images by adjusting equipment settings as needed and ensuring patients are properly positioned.
Image Interpretation: Assist in the interpretation of echocardiographic findings by collaborating with healthcare providers and reporting any significant observations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including images, exam details, and relevant clinical information, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Stress Testing: Administer and monitor stress tests, including exercise and pharmacological stress, in conjunction with echocardiography studies.
Contrast Administration: Administer contrast agents as required for specific echocardiography studies, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
Communication: Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss patient histories and provide real-time assistance during procedures.
Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques through ongoing education and professional development.
