You will lead manufacturing capability projects in our world class manufacturing facility.Responsibilities include:Independently lead, this will require the application of technical practices and procedures for high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipmentStrong project management skills with the ability to make formal presentations and interact with multi-functional teams on projectsMaintain technical standards, principles and business processes and be willing to grow knowledge of the sameDevelop work priorities and plans based on business objectivesServe as a technical resource in your area of specializationPrioritize resources when participating in multi-functional projects or leading department projects within budget guidelinesYou will manage capital projects with associated scope and budgets of 1-5 million annuallyTransform own technical and business knowledge into solutions others can useHelp mentor and develop technical talent in departmentBackground/Skills:Bachelor's degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing or related field.Minimum 3+ years proven experience in engineering, manufacturing, or related fieldExperience with high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipmentExperience in AutoCAD, Inventor & project management reporting toolsStrong communication and leadership skills with the experience leading technical projects and presenting scope, timelines, and budgets to senior leadership.Willingness to take initiative and have accountabilityProven ability to apply equipment or process knowledge and technology to analyze and troubleshoot machinery problems in support of factory maintenance personnel ie effectively interpret blueprints and machinery schematics.You possess a proven track record of balancing multiple priorities in a changing environment.You can make decisions using independent judgment under time constraints with minimal direction when required.The ability to support back shifts, weekends and travel as needed, though minimalThe starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions.
