Murren is seeking an experienced Surveyor to support heavy civil construction projects, including earthwork, underground wet utilities (water, sewer, storm drainage), site development, and concrete structures. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform construction layout for underground utilities, structures, grading, concrete pours, embeds, and anchor boltsVerify installation accuracy of underground utilities and graded areasEstablish and maintain benchmarks for pipe installation and associated structuresPerform elevation and horizontal control calculations, including slope calculationsCreate and provide final as-built data and documentationDevelop and maintain accurate field notes and documentationOperate robotic total stations, auto levels, and related survey equipmentUtilize Trimble Siteworks and Carlson SurvCE for field data collectionGenerate as-built plans and support project documentation requirementsCommunicate survey data clearly to field crews and translate technical survey terminology into practical field directionMaintain survey equipment in proper working conditionsWork independently in varying terrain and weather conditionsQualifications5+ years of heavy civil construction survey experienceStrong experience with construction layout and underground utility projectsProficiency with Trimble SiteworksExperience operating robotic total stations and auto levelsAbility to perform field calculations for elevations and horizontal controlStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-driven with the ability to work independentlyAbility to remain standing and walking for extended periods and carry survey equipmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with Carlson Desktop SoftwareExperience with Trimble Business CenterExperience with Civil3DFAA Part 107 Drone LicenseRequirements:Must have valid driver's licenseMust be a U.S. CitizenMust participate in pre-employment and random drug screening program.Subject to a background screening processTo be considered for this position, you must first complete our Culture Index personality survey.
