They diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. They are responsible for the service and customer support during field visits and dispatches.Essential FunctionsTroubleshoots and diagnoses all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition on the job site or in the shopPerforms routine equipment clean-up and upkeep as well as safety review and pre-delivery inspectionsInspects, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts heavy equipment as required and completes all related paperworkParticipate in all training programs directed by ManagerBring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools, equipment, or vehicles that are not in serviceable condition or unsafe to useMaintains tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulationsCompletes basic computer tasks including work orders, parts lookup, and email communicationCommunicates with coworkers and customers to ensure top-quality equipment and customer satisfactionProvide service and customer support during field visits or dispatchesTie workflow to scheduleManage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasksDiagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutionsProduce timely and detailed service reportsOperate vehicle safely and use field automation systemsFollow all company field procedures and protocolsCooperate with technical team and share information across the organizationComprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations or briefingsBuild positive customer relationshipsExhibit strong teamworkWilling to train and assist other team members with difficult or extended repairsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDExtensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipmentAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipmentProven field service experienceMust have own toolsMust have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to work flexible shiftsMilitary service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.
