Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineering - Secret clearance required Local Candidates Only The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, under the direction of the Technical Project Manager, to provide support for the mechanical design and testing of complex mechanical, opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Required Skills: Responsibilities will include design, integration, and testing of complex hardware from conceptual design through fabrication and field performance evaluation. Experience in mechanical design, assembly and environmental testing of high reliability electronic, electro-optic, mechanisms, or opto-mechanical systems for DoD or aerospace applications. Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software. Preferred Skills: Demonstrated experience with the development of opto-mechanical or electro-mechanical systems utilized on spacecraft and/or aircraft strongly preferred. Experience in DoD, military, and/or aerospace applications highly preferred Opto-Mechanical experience would be highly preferred. Education and Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree is mandatory. Candidates should have a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering OR Aerospace. A Master's degree is a plus (there is some flexibility on the years of experience if the candidate has a Master's). Master's and 3+ years relevant experience or Bachelor's and 5+ years relevant experience.
