Kitchen Manager
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in fine dining and hotel environments. This role requires exceptional team management skills and a passion for food management. As the Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and conducting interviews for new team members.
- Ensure all food preparation meets safety and quality standards.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing food costs.
- Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal availability and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service between the kitchen and bar areas.
- Monitor kitchen operations to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to assistant managers and other kitchen staff as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role within the food industry, preferably in fine dining or hotel settings.
- Strong knowledge of food management practices and health regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Experience in menu development and cost control strategies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
