Machine Operator/Pipe Layer

*Overview* Join our dynamic construction team as a Machine Operator/Pipe Layer, where you'll play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing underground utility systems. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects, including wastewater systems, sanitary drainage, stormwater management, and sewer line installation. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality utility system installations that stand the test of time. *Duties* * Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation. * Read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to accurately follow blueprint specifications for utility trenching and pipe placement. * Install underground utilities including sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply lines, and other pipeline infrastructure in accordance with safety regulations and project standards. * Use pipe lasers and other precision tools to ensure proper alignment and elevation during pipe installation processes. * Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or accidents. * Follow federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence to maintain a secure work environment for all team members. *Experience* * Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks in construction or utility installation projects. * Strong knowledge of construction trenching techniques, pipe installation procedures, and underground utilities systems including sanitary sewers and stormwater infrastructure. * Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately; interpreting technical drawings is essential. * Familiarity with utility trenching methods for sewer lines, water supply systems, and underground utility installations within construction site environments. * Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and underground utility work; experience adhering to federal construction safety standards is preferred. * Skilled in using hand tools, pipe lasers, and utility locating devices to support various phases of construction projects. * Prior experience working on pipeline projects involving sanitary drainage systems or wastewater systems is highly desirable.
