CNC Operator
JOB DETAILSSets up and operates CNC (Computer Numeric Controls) machine to produce machined parts while maintaining quality and safety standards. Controls product quality during production runs using precision measurement tools.Preferred RequirementsFamiliarity with MRPIIExperience with Haas CNC controlExperience turning and threading stainless steelKnowledge of G code programming and editingCAM programming experienceRequired Education / Experience / SkillsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent is required.One to two years of prior factory employment preferredTwo years of CNC experience, including lathe setupEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesObtain production requirements for the daily production from Workflow Select appropriate CNC programs for the current jobProgram CNC to specific operation (knowledge of operation of CNC may be obtained through on‐the‐job training or vocational education) Select appropriate tooling for each job applicationRead and interpret blueprintsUse precision measurement tools including height gauge, micrometers, calipers, and pins gaugesPerform dimensional checks of parts using precision measurement toolsMake CNC program corrections as necessaryTroubleshoot setup and production issues in a timely mannerMeasure parts to ensure they are within the allowed tolerances and offset the machine as neededPerform first piece and in‐process quality checksPerform defined preventive maintenance activities.
