Ask someone why they love working at Boscov's and they'll tell you, "we feel like we're part of the family."We are currently seeking an experienced Department Manager who enjoys helping and motivating others to be their best to lead our Shoe Sales team.Job ResponsibilitiesSet sales goals for associatesCoach associates to meet and exceed customer expectations by retrieving requested shoes from stockroom area, as well as additional items that meet the style and description the customer is seekingEducate associates on productsObserve associate and customer interaction and provide feedback to further develop selling skillsEnsure department is merchandised per company standardsOversee and coordinate daily department maintenance tasks such as merchandising, display, ad set-up, and ticketing.Assist Shoe Stock Coordinator with stock to ensure proper placement of all incoming and outgoing merchandiseAssist with fulfillment of customer internet ordersWork as a team player to ensure every customer's needs are metJob RequirementsCollaborative manager who helps each member of their team be the best they can be each and every dayPatient & courteous with good active listening and problem solving skillsEnjoys teaching and coaching others to best service our customersPrior retail management experience, preferably in shoesAbility to motivate associates achieve sales goalsEntrepreneurial spirit to drive businessStrong customer service and leadership skillsThis is a fast-paced position that requires physical movement, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders and/or stairsGood communication with coworkers, management, and buying divisionAvailable to work varied days and hours as schedule requires, including evenings and weekendsBenefitsAt Boscov's, we value our employees, and that's why we provide a competitive compensation and benefits package.
