Project Engineer

A growing commercial General Contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support ground-up multifamily and senior living construction projects throughout the Midwest. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career with an established contractor offering long-term advancement into Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager roles. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day project operations. Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and owners. Track project schedules and procurement activities. Assist with change orders and project closeout. Participate in project meetings and maintain meeting minutes. Help keep projects on schedule and within budget. Perform site visits and support field operations as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred. 1–5+ years of Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager experience with a General Contractor. Experience on commercial, multifamily, or senior living construction projects preferred. Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software. Strong communication and organizational skills. Willingness to travel as needed.
