Primary responsibilities is overseeing shift operations to meet business objectives. The 1st shift Manager will be accountable for all aspects of shift performance and will ensure that goals are achieved in a cost-effective manner that's consistent with quality requirements. Must be able to delegate authority to key Leaders in production, manage all functions involved within the shift, direct, and coordinate operations.Manage daily operations within the shiftEnsure safety and efficiency of the facilityRemain in compliance with facility quality standardsPrepare, analyze, and issue production and performance reportsControl costs to achieve company budget goalsSubmit detailed reports to appropriate executivesIdentify opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient proceduresWhat you bring to this roleB.S. in Business, Ag-business, or related curriculum5+ years' experience in related work experienceProven leadership, including people development and project managementBe able to communicate to all levels of the organization; possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent written and oral communication skillsProven record of developing and maintaining successful working relationships and serving as a liaison related to all food safety and quality matters.Proven ability to analyze and solve complex problemsComprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations and functionality of processes, system, and equipment throughout the complete complex along with interpersonal skills to successfully manage and drive changeMust be self-directed and self-disciplined, ability to perform duties without close supervisionWORK ENVIRONMENT: The shift Manager will be required to access the production environment. Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet, and chill of the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment required in the production area.
