OverviewJob Description – VP of MarketingSpherix is seeking a VP of Marketing to serve as a senior leader and key member of the company’s leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Marketing will be responsible for defining and executing Spherix’s overall marketing vision and strategy to drive brand awareness, demand generation, and sustainable revenue growth.This role owns the end-to-end marketing function, including strategic planning, brand positioning, digital and traditional marketing execution, conference strategy, PR, and marketing operations. As a member of the leadership team, the VP of Marketing will partner closely with executive leadership, sales, insights, and product teams to ensure marketing initiatives are tightly aligned with company priorities and growth objectives. This role is based in Exton, PA, with consideration for a remote arrangement.Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & Executive LeadershipDefine and own the company-wide marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with Spherix’s business objectives, growth priorities, and market positioningServe as a member of the Spherix leadership team, contributing to enterprise-level strategy, planning, and decision-makingAct as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on marketing performance, brand health, and market opportunitiesIdentify gaps and opportunities in current marketing efforts and translate them into clear, actionable strategic initiativesCEO market and product innovation campaigns Advance Franchise Heads’ thought leadership in key therapeutic areas via conference presentations and white papersTeam Leadership & Organizational DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative cultureSet clear goals, priorities, and success metrics for the marketing functionDetermine resourcing needs, role design, and capabilities required to support company growthOversee and manage external agencies, vendors, and consultants as neededDemand Generation, Brand & Content StrategyOversee the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels to drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growthOwn brand strategy and positioning, ensuring consistency across all external and internal touchpointsGuide content strategy and messaging, ensuring complex insights and products are translated into compelling, client-centric narrativesOversee SEO, paid advertising, social media, email marketing, PR, and thought leadership initiativesMarketing Operations, Analytics & Budget OwnershipOwn and manage the annual marketing and conference budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and strong ROIOversee HubSpot and related marketing technology platforms, including email campaigns, lead management, landing pages, and system integrationsOwn and manage the company website and ensure all digital platforms are optimized and aligned with brand and business goalsDefine and track key marketing KPIs, leveraging tools such as Google Analytics and executive dashboards to measure performance, pipeline impact, and ROISales, Insights & Cross-Functional PartnershipPartner closely with Sales leadership to align marketing strategy with pipeline development, client engagement, and revenue goalsCollaborate with Insights and Product leaders to support franchise strategies, product launches, and go-to-market planningRegularly review pipeline performance, identify challenges, and proactively develop solutions in partnership with commercial leadershipEvents, Conferences & External PresenceOwn the company’s conference and events strategy, including planning, execution, messaging, and post-event performance analysisEnsure Spherix maintains a strong, professional, and differentiated presence at key industry conferences and eventsQualifications15+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably within healthcare, pharmaceutical market research, or professional servicesProven experience leading and developing marketing teamsStrong expertise in marketing technology platforms, with direct HubSpot experience requiredDeep understanding of pharmaceutical market research, industry trends, and regulatory considerationsProven ability to translate complex insights and offerings into clear, compelling marketing narrativesStrong background in digital marketing, demand generation, content strategy, and analyticsExperience managing budgets, agencies, and cross-functional initiatives at a senior levelExcellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skillsBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferredWhat You BringA strategic, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to balance vision and executionExecutive presence and comfort operating at the leadership team levelA collaborative, influential style that builds trust across functionsA data-driven approach to decision-making and performance managementThe ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environmentOther Relevant InformationCompensation package includes a competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with experience, as well as eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.
