Position Overview
We are seeking a Forward Deployed Product Engineer with Palantir Foundry experience and a product-oriented mindset to join our remote team. In this role you'll partner with customers and internal product teams to deploy, customize, and scale Foundry solutions that solve complex business problems. You will translate customer needs into robust technical designs, prototype AI-enabled features, and help shape the product roadmap while ensuring responsible AI practices and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Lead customer-facing Foundry deployments: configure data pipelines, build transforms, and integrate enterprise data sources to deliver production-grade solutions.
Collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to translate customer needs into product requirements, prototypes, and prioritized features.
Rapidly prototype and validate AI/ML workflows using Palantir Foundry, Azure AI Foundry components, Databricks, and Agent Bricks where appropriate.
Drive technical designs that scale: ensure data quality, operational reliability, performance tuning, and security best practices in Foundry deployments.
Implement AI governance controls and monitoring to ensure models and agents operate safely, transparently, and in compliance with customer policies.
Deliver hands-on training, documentation, and enablement materials for customer stakeholders and internal teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes in partnership with engineering and operations.
Contribute to the product roadmap by identifying recurring customer needs, proposing product improvements, and validating solutions through field trials.
Qualifications
Must-have: Proven hands-on experience deploying and customizing Palantir Foundry in enterprise environments.
Must-have: Strong product orientation with experience working directly with product managers or acting in product-facing engineering roles.
Experience delivering customer-facing technical solutions in a forward-deployed or consulting capacity (nice to have).
Familiarity with Palantir platform components beyond Foundry (nice to have).
Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Databricks, or similar data and AI platforms for prototyping and production ML workflows (nice to have).
Experience building or integrating autonomous agents and Agent Bricks, or similar agent frameworks (nice to have).
Knowledge of AI governance, model monitoring, and MLOps practices to ensure safe, auditable deployments (nice to have).
Proficiency in Python for data engineering and model integration tasks (nice to have).
Prior experience as a Product Manager or working closely with PMs on product discovery and roadmapping (nice to have).
Excellent customer-facing communication skills, strong problem-solving ability, and experience working cross-functionally in distributed teams.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
