TriMerge Consulting Group, P.A. is seeking experienced and mission-driven Consultants to support federally funded hazard mitigation and emergency management programs. Consultants serve as the technical backbone of our HMA Technical Unit, leading project reviews, compliance analysis, and technical evaluations that support critical grant and resilience initiatives nationwide.WHAT YOU’LL DOEngineering Track• Perform Benefit-Cost Analyses (BCA) using federally approved methodologies• Review project budgets and evaluate cost eligibility for grant-funded initiatives• Draft and finalize engineering recommendations and technical review documentation• Review project modifications, change requests, and technical deliverables• Support final inspections and project closeout activities for completed mitigation projectsEnvironmental & Historic Preservation (EHP) Track• Conduct environmental compliance reviews under NEPA• Prepare Records of Environmental Consideration (RECs) and supporting documentation• Prepare and manage environmental compliance checklists and approval packages• Support Section 106 NHPA consultation documentation and historic preservation reviews• Coordinate with federal and state stakeholders to support environmental compliance determinationsGIS / Data / BCA Track• Develop GIS mapping products, spatial analysis outputs, and geospatial documentation• Support project eligibility determinations through data analysis and mapping validation• Integrate geospatial data into environmental and engineering review workflows• Support dashboards, reporting systems, and technical data management processes• Assist with Benefit-Cost Analysis data collection and validation effortsAcross All Tracks• Issue Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide technical assistance to project stakeholders• Track project progress, schedules, and documentation requirements• Support compliance reviews and federal submission standards• Mentor junior staff, analysts, or interns as needed• Contribute to high-volume, deadline-driven project environmentsWHAT YOU BRING• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, environmental compliance, GIS/geospatial analysis, emergency management, or BCA-related work• Familiarity with hazard mitigation, resilience, disaster recovery, or federally funded grant programs preferred• Experience with ArcGIS, geospatial tools, data management systems, compliance documentation, or related technical platforms• Experience supporting NHPA Section 106 consultation or historic preservation reviews is highly valued• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related discipline
