Digital Communications Specialist, Public Affairs

The CTP Public Affairs team seeks a full-time Digital Communications Specialist.In this role, you’ll support our growing roster of public affairs clients, which span a range of sectors including non-profit, education, health care, technology, environment and energy, and political campaigns. You’ll work as part of an integrated communications team, with your primary responsibilities focused on creating social and digital content that supports our clients’ overall communications goals and strategies.This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for public affairs and a strong foundation in digital communications and content development. Candidates should be excellent writers and communicators, extremely organized, and adept at creating high quality graphics and content for a variety of digital channels.CTP is looking for someone who will contribute to our agency’s success by:Managing the execution of digital strategy and content for assigned clientsServing as a trusted and reliable day-to-day client contact through responsiveness, attention to detail, and consistently meeting deadlinesMaintaining strong organization across projects, able to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities with easeBrainstorming new content ideas to align with public affairs and communications goalsContributing ideas and insights to support digital strategy developmentMonitoring and keeping the team informed of news and social media trends and best practicesDeveloping and maintaining content calendars for social channels — including written copy, graphics, and videoTranslating complex industry and policy issues into accessible, compelling contentHandling publishing for client social media accounts Creating graphics for a variety of digital content in Canva or Adobe Creative SuiteWriting blogs, website copy, and email contentDrafting and designing materials such as one-pagers or annual reportsCreating short-form, topical video content and reels for social media Managing website content management on platforms like Squarespace or WordPressResearching, learning and exploring new digital tools that benefit our team and clientsTracking, reporting and identifying insights on key metrics such as client mentions, competitor activity, audience growth, content performance, and engagementSupporting integrated public affairs and communications programs that may include earned media, social media, paid media, and digital storytelling across client accounts Using tools, including AI where appropriate, to support content development, streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and maintain high standards for quality and accuracyQualificationsAbility to be in our Boston office 2x/week (Tuesday and Wednesday)2-4 years of experience in digital communications, preferably in non-profit or government Degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field preferredExpert proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative SuiteProficiency with website content management platforms such as Squarespace Proficiency with email platforms such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and MS OfficePlease note, all employees are required to be in-office at our CTP location on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.The salary range for these roles is $60,000 – $75,000 annually. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
