IT Specialist II

Location: Huntsville, AL (Onsite)Reports To: IT Services ManagerCompany: Simple HelixAbout the RoleSimple Helix is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our growing IT Services team as an IT Specialist II in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on technical support to our customers through a combination of ticket-based support, phone assistance, and on-site service. You’ll work with a wide range of technologies, including Windows desktops and servers, Microsoft 365, backup solutions, networking, and other managed IT services.This position is ideal for a customer-focused IT professional who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and delivering excellent customer service.What You’ll DoDeliver outstanding customer service by providing patient, professional, and empathetic support.Respond to customer requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems.Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of technical issues, including software, hardware, and connectivity problems.Manage user accounts, including account creation, permission assignment, and password resets.Install, configure, and support software applications.Document support activities accurately and escalate complex issues when appropriate.Provide clear, step-by-step guidance to help users resolve issues and improve their technical understanding.Provide remote and on-site support services for our customersRequired Qualifications:Ability to work onsite in Huntsville, AL.At least 1 year of current IT support experience.High school diploma or equivalent.Strong aptitude in technology with a desire to learn and grow.Excellent troubleshooting skills and problem-solving methodologies.Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Expertise with Windows 10 and Windows 11 platforms; proficient with Windows Server platforms.Experience supporting macOS environments.Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.Ability to remain calm and effective while managing competing priorities and urgent requests.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or supporting multi-site environments.Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products and services.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Google, or AWS are a plus.
