We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING . . .Manage all operations in the Meat DepartmentProvide friendly, helpful, quick and courteous customer serviceDevelop creative and aggressive merchandising plansHire and train new department employeesWrite department scheduleResponsible for department sales and labor budget, grosses and reportsPerform employee performance evaluationsWrite and work orders, plan promotions, ensure proper signage on all products and oversee inventory control procedures for the departmentMaintain department cleanliness, product freshness and varietyKeep up on industry trends, standards and changesEnsure the dissemination and adherence to all company and department policiesMaintain adherence to sustainability programs and all security & safety policiesAdhere to proper waste management and recycling proceduresOperate within the Company's Core Values and Company BrandTHIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF . . .Minimum 5 years meat cutting experienceInterest and enthusiasm for cooking/nutritionEmphasis on selling and merchandising/creativityMust work towards maximizing total overall market salesExemplifies health department standardsExcellent record keeping skillsAbility to work with a diverse group of customers and employeesMust possess a strong desire to work hard, be enthusiastic, participate in achieving management goals, and lead by exampleMust possess intermediate computer skills including MS OfficeMust be a visionary, leader and team playerGood follow-through and people skillsDisplays excellent work ethicFlexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidaysExcellent verbal, written communication skills (including spelling, grammar and industry language)Must be able to lift 60 lbs.Possess full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting and reaching)Entry Level Compensation USD $32.70/Hr.Maximum Compensation USD $38.10/Hr.
