Visiting Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor (Non-Tenure)
The University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry (UIC COD) invites applications for part-time or full-time (.20 FTE to 1.0 FTE) faculty to serve as a Visiting Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. This non-tenure-track position will support the Pre-Doctoral and/or Advanced Prosthodontics program and offers an exceptional opportunity to teach outstanding pre-doctoral and post-graduate students while working collaboratively with faculty and staff at a leading urban academic health sciences center.We are seeking experienced academic leaders in dental education who will build upon our established educational foundation and advance the mission of the Department and the College. The selected individuals will have primary responsibilities in the supervision and clinical instruction of pre-doctorial and/or postgraduate dental students, with additional opportunities for research, course directorship, and participation in faculty dental practice.Minimum requirements include a DDS/DMD (or equivalent) degree; candidates must be eligible for dental licensure in Illinois, demonstrate a strong commitment to interdisciplinary care, and show willingness to engage collaboratively with other academic departments. Preferred qualifications include completion of a formal Prosthodontics training program or GPR/AEGD program at a CODA-accredited institution, demonstrated experience in teaching, mentoring, research, and service, a strong command of digital dentistry, experience with peer-reviewed publishing, and a proven ability to foster collaborative relationships across disciplines.Candidates must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, demonstrated experience in mentoring and leadership, and a strong commitment to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a variety of groups and individuals.The budgeted salary range for the position is $110,000 to $155,000. The listed range is based on a full-time (1.0 FTE) and will be prorated based on the actual percent appointed.
