Assistant to the Restoration Superintendent

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant to the Restoration Superintendent to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with some experience in construction or restoration to develop their skills and gain valuable hands-on experience. As an Assistant, you will support the Superintendent in managing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Superintendent with daily project tasks, including scheduling subcontractors, ordering materials, and coordinating with suppliers. Attend pre-construction meetings with the Superintendent to learn about project scopes, customer expectations, and site-specific requirements. Help maintain project documentation, including daily reports, work logs, and change orders. Support the Superintendent in conducting site inspections to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and local codes. Communicate with customers and subcontractors under the direction of the Superintendent, ensuring clear and consistent messaging. Assist with compiling punch list items and preparing for final walk-throughs with customers. Participate in on-site activities, including moving materials, setting up tools, and assisting subcontractors as needed. Take part in the execution of change orders and help with any adjustments required to keep projects on track. Qualifications:1-2 years of experience in construction, restoration, or a related field is preferred. Strong desire to learn and develop within the construction industry. Basic understanding of construction processes, tools, and materials. Good communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the Superintendent and other team members. Basic math skills for assisting with measurements, estimates, and calculations. Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Physical ability to walk, stand, and carry materials throughout the day.
