Duties And ResponsibilitiesObtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure for multiple companiesAnalyze the monthly financial statement and report them to the President and the VP of FinanceAssist with monthly closing process and financial statement preparation, as neededPrepare periodic governmental, regulatory, and insurance filings, returns, and compliance reportsOversee the Accounts Payable department, including processing A/P transactionsParticipate in periodic meetings focused on Operations and Key Performance IndicatorsRespond to inquiries from the President and the VP of Finance regarding financial resultsAlong with the VP of Finance, manage banking and other key vendor relationshipsPerform analysis for the President and the VP of Finance, as requestedPrepare insurance audits and gathering information for insurance renewalsSupervise the Accounting and Billing Departments while supporting other departments when necessaryParticipate in periodic meetings regarding Accounts Receivable and CollectionsOversee and prepare schedules for the annual audit/review with our outside accounting firmWork with the VP of Finance to secure equipment loansRectify any issues Billing staff or Accounting team may have with the Operations, Sales, Safety or Maintenance teamsOversee the annual preparation of 1099sPerform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be requiredSkills And QualificationsEducationBS/BA in accounting is requiredCPA preferredTechnical Skills And Prior Experience10 plus years of experience in Accounting with supervisory experience are requiredMust be highly skilled in financial analysis with advanced skills in Microsoft ExcelAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining exceptional accuracyStrong written and verbal communications skills.Strong organizational and problem-solving skillsExperience with intercompany transactionsWillingness to be a team player - doing whatever is necessary to get the job doneAS/400 and Quickbooks knowledge a plusTrucking industry experience a plusBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
