Business Development Coordinator

POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Business Development Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt HOURS: Full Time LOCATION: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES Supporting the Marketing & Business Development team with the firm’s client development efforts. Assisting with preparing content for proposals, pitches, and RFP responses. In addition, tracking these efforts and following up with attorneys to evaluate outcomes and gather feedback. Assisting the Senior Business Development Manager with regularly tracking, analyzing, and reporting on website and email marketing analytics. Lead CRM efforts and initiatives. Oversee the implementation and management of the CRM system to ensure efficient tracking of referrals, pipeline management, and data integrity. Assist with developing and executing strategies to enhance user adoption and optimize the team's CRM usage to support business development and marketing goals. Assist the Marketing & Business Development team with the firm’s experience management initiatives. Ensure accurate tracking of client interactions and data integrity. Maintaining mailing lists within the CRM while ensuring changes to contact records are processed as needed. Assist with marketing budget management, approve expenses, and analyze financial data. Assisting industry teams and practice groups with client and business development efforts, including research, strategy development, events, and coordination of related activities. Assisting the CMO with processing marketing-related expenses and invoices while updating industry teams and practice groups’ budgets as needed day-to-day and during the annual budget cycle. Assisting the Marketing Events Manager on event logistics, including planning, promotional item ordering, staffing, set-up and takedown, processing CLE, and more. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS A high-quality service mindset is necessary, as the role collaborates with other departments and attorneys across the firm. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to think creatively to pursue best practices and explore solutions to challenges. Have a positive, mature attitude while being assertive and confident when needed. Be flexible, demonstrating an ability to adapt quickly and prioritize workload. TECHNICAL SKILLS Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress is required. Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) is a plus. Experience with analytics programs such as Google Analytics or SiteImprove is a plus. Experience with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics (Legal 360) is a plus. Experience with email marketing software such as Concep is a plus. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe InDesign, is a plus. Experience using media and legal intelligence platforms, particularly Meltwater and JD Supra, is a plus. Proficient use of AP style in writing and proofing is desired. EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS College degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, English, or other related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, business development, or communications OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Marketing and business development experience for a law firm is strongly preferred; experience in the professional services industry in a marketing capacity or with a marketing agency is desirable.
