No, must have completed at least 1 assignment at a facility comparable in size and acuityLevel III NICU; Newborn NurseryTypically, will do 4 scheduled events daily (c-sections, versions, etc)Beds:OBED: 2 Triage roomsLabor Delivery:7 labor rooms2 triage roomsPreOp/PACU in Labor room (even pre-scheduled events)OR suites: 2Postpartum/Antepartum/GYN/Mother-Baby: 25 could be overflow Antepartum that LD RNs monitorCovers a large geographical area tons of referrals (anything that will require NICU 1 of 2 NICU s in Maine)Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:PIH, GDM, Pre-Eclampsia, Eclampsia, HELLP, Shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage (assessed on admission, intrapartum, postpartum), multiples, fetal loss, drug addiction, cervical ripeningNewborn care: if mother stays on unit for continuous surveillance (Mag x 24hrs), labor nurse would be responsible for documenting feeds and vitals and assessment for baby. Testing to be completed by Mother-Baby staff.
