OverviewThe Parts & Vehicle Measurement Inspector will use highly technical machinery and hand tools to measure and inspect microscopic automotive parts, ensuring they meet standard and specific guidelines. ResponsibilitiesUse highly technical machinery and hand tools to measure and inspect microscopic automotive parts which are not detectable to the eyeMeasure and inspect large automotive parts, such as body, frame, transmission, and engineUse various hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, pin gages, etc. to verify part accuracyPrepare reports on the quality of incoming automotive partsRead and interpret various Honda-specific standards and guidelines manualsQualificationsA minimum of 2 - 3 years related experience in related measurement inspector roleMust have demonstrated CMM experienceLaser scanning experience is requiredProficient with computer software: Excel, PowerPoint,Word , Polyworks and Catia preferredExperience a plus with Romer Arm, Faro Arm, ATOS, or Scan TrakHigh School DiplomaAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work a standard eight (8) hour day with some occasional overtime and possibly occasional weekend workPHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to move and position parts and vehicles for measurement purposesAbility to lift up to 50lbs.
