RN/Quality and Compliance Coordinator
Responsibilities:
· Collaborates with the Executive Director (ED) and Medical Director (MD) to plan, organize and work processes of the Quality Improvement (QI) program.
· In collaboration with the ED and MD, develops quality indicators for the quality, service and efficiency of the organization.
· Engages staff, providers, and other key stakeholders in QI efforts.
· In collaboration with Department Directors, develops proactive risk assessments and systems to oversee adverse events, near-misses and potentially unsafe conditions.
· Ensures collection and analysis of data to monitor the performance of processes that involve risk or may result in adverse events, near-misses and potentially unsafe conditions.
· Under the direction of the PACE@Home providers, facilitates the implementation of patient safety initiatives, such as medication safety and fall prevention.
· Ensures provider and staff participation in educational QI programs.
· Coordinates and facilitates the QI Committee meetings.
· Assists senior leadership with improving the quality of participant care.
· In collaboration with senior leadership, recommend corrective actions and timeliness of improvements.
· Under the direction of the ED, develops a corrective action plan for deficiencies noted during any survey/inspection process and develops a summary to the Board of Directors.
· Collaborates with the Senior Leadership Team to maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
· Develops and maintains a compliance plan and committee to include interdisciplinary and ancillary staff and management representation.
· Monitors the plan, compliance measures, outcomes, implements actions for improvement and reports findings through the quality reporting process.
· Ensures HIPAA compliance with Federal, State, and any regulatory bodies, serves as HIPAA compliance officer, recommends policy and procedure to ensure compliance to the ED, appropriate staff and Board of Directors.
· Conducts an annual review of the quality improvement program for PACE @ Home and updates plan as appropriate.
· Conducts medical record audits, tracks trends and follow up to ensure corrective actions are taken only within scope of practice and under the direction of the MD and report in monthly quality meetings.
· Provides reports to the Board of Directors on a periodic basis regarding the status of the PACE @ Home Compliance and FWA Program, the identification and the resolution of any potential or actual instances of noncompliance.
· Develops and maintains compliance reporting mechanisms that are accessible and confidential and that allow employees and contractors to report suspected fraud, waste and abuse on an anonymous basis and without fear of retaliation
· Develops and maintains effective lines of communication with the members of the Compliance Committee, PACE @ Home employees, and PACE @ Home contractors.
· Only acts within the scope of his or her authority to practice.
Demonstrates familiarity with the personnel policies of Carolina Caring and understands and adheres to rules, regulations and standards of regulatory bodies and applicable accrediting agencies of PACE @ Home.
Complies in a timely manner to all mandatory inservice requirements of Pace @ Home.
Requirements:Associates: or bachelor’s degree in nursing or compliance or equivalent experience required. Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience:Must have one year of experience in health care field with frail elders. Must be capable of performing job responsibilities.
Skills/Abilities:Excellent organizational and analytical skills and perseverance in investigating.
· Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups in a health care environment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to teach and present information clearly and concisely.
· Have the ability to analyze large amounts of data to identify trends.
· Ability to manage time efficiently, work independently, prioritize duties, meet deadlines, and adjust to changes in policies and procedures.
· Proficient computer skills with MS office products.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Maintains current, unrestricted driver’s license.
Maintains minimum automobile liability insurance for the duration of employment.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
